I’m an adult-onset hunter. I decided to try hunting in 2010 in hopes of putting sustainably harvested, local, grass-fed meat on my family’s table. The experience was life changing but also challenging. I was overwhelmed by the amount of knowledge I lacked: firearms handling, marksmanship, wildlife habits and behavior, flora and fauna, hunting techniques, field dressing, butchering, cooking wild game—and even how to get a hunting permit to begin with.

I muddled through and have had the good fortune to put wild game on our table ever since.  But the experience left me wanting to share my passion for sustainable meat and make getting started easier for others. WE educate about food, nature, and how we are all connected. WE give people the opportunities and hands-on tools for the best chance of successfully harvesting and making the most of their own animal from start to finish, field to feast. If wild game isn’t your thing, WE also partner with ranches to provide our clients with local, humanely raised, sustainable meat—as well as the chance to process and preserve it.
